Trip to Hawaii

Sunset from the beach. It was so beautiful. There was a 1 and a half mile walk along the beach that we walked each day. The pool was located just outside our room. The weather was wonderful and warm and I had such a good time.

Enjoying a last minute trip to Rexburg. It snowed last night and it's now dang cold. I guess winter is arriving. I'll stay until Monday and head back home. Justin and Carrie have a very nice cozy apartment and still kiss alot!! Nice.
Justin is putting up Christmas lites in the trees downtown, and it was fun to watch he and his co-worker up in the big bucket on main street.

Can you believe it. I'm actually writing on my blog. Not much to say really except it "sucks" to be old and really have nothing to do! So I keep working on that. Other than that we're fine. The weather continues, at least for another few days to be wonderful....but we all know that the cold and the snow are coming.
I need to do something with my kitchen cupboards, so I thought I'd go look at paint today. Whatever we do it's going to be a rotten job, and it needs to be a do it yourself job to keep costs down. Any ideas on how to make 1950's cabiniets look good?
Well, I should try and remember how to put some pictures on to make this more interesting. That's a job for another day.

Well, here's me last week when we had our little blizzard while at work. It was very cool!! We of course had to go out and play in it. I think that was the hardest I've ever seen it snow.

Dad's hand update

Dads hand looks alittle better now, but not alot. Just going to take time I guess. Meanwhile, I'm his "other" hand!
It's a quiet Sunday, and it's cold and every flake of snow that's fallen so far is still out there, but all's well, and tomorrow is a holiday for dad.
I tried to put the picture on this blog, but forgot how and had to go back to the email way. I guess I need a new lesson. So if you look here, check your email.

Our Christmas wish to all of you!

Merry Christmas to all our loved ones. Christmas always brings such warm and wonderful memories of years past. So many good times to remember. Christmas tree cutting fiascos and fun, christmas shows to watch together, secrets and shopping, traditional meals,"our own bottle of pop!" sleepless nights, sneeky children, decorating.....cookies and candy and most of all beloved family there to enjoy it all with you.

Now those times are long past, but close to our hearts. We're so glad to have a few of you here to share this Christmas time with us and will be thinking of those of you who aren't. My dream is that sometime we'll all be close enough to enjoy many good times together. For now, we'll just have to plan and work at it.

We'll be home Christmas Eve, but go to Bend to see Grma and Grpa on christmas day, and return on wednesday. We don't have any special plans but hope to have a good time. Of course, the food has to be just right!, so we've been working on that. The house is cozy with the tree and lights and a fire feels so good when it gets this cold and adds to the coziness. We have about 4 inches of snow to make it really feel like Christmas and maybe more on the way.

Hope all of you are ready to stop the stressing and enjoy the spirit of this beautiful season when we celebrate the birth of the Savior. The older you get the more important you feel it is to have your thoughts turn to the Savior and his birth and sacrifice for us.

We'll be thinking of you,
love, MOM
